Christmas Parade

Yesterday, we decided that we wanted to take our kids to see Santa. We wanted to go somewhere different then the mall. A good friend of mine told us about a parade and other fun festivities in Golden, so we decided to give it a try. We got kind of a late start but made it in time for the last 10 minutes of the parade. That was the best part anyways, because Santa was at the very end!

I looked online to see what else they had going on and brought a list of the different things. Next up was a visit with Santa! We hurried right over there so we wouldn't have to wait in a long line. Levi was so cute to watch this year. He was just in awe the second her saw him, and had the biggest smile on his face. Santa was so sweet to all of the kids, and listened to everything they had to say without making them feel rushed.

After seeing Santa the kids went on some cart rides pulled by Newfoundland dogs. They thought this was just great, and could have rode all day long if we would have let them. The dogs were so huge, but very friendly.

Then we walked around town taking pictures in front of random statues =)

We also went to a cute toy store where they had a little craft and snacks set up for the kids. We weren't able to go on the horse drawn carriage rides, which was a disappointment, but the line was over an hour long and we decided not to wait. On the way out of town we stopped at a street side puppet show which was really cute. It was a nice laid back Saturday afternoon. It was fun to try something new!

Pictures with the random statues down mainstreet are a must whenever you're in Golden. :) I'm so glad you guys went. That reminded me that I never finished my blog post about our trip. :) Such fun!
